  1. Definition
    1. Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the webserver to store information on the browser to be reused during the same visit to the Website (session cookies) or later, even after a few days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to the User’s preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
  2. Types of Cookies
    1. There are different categories of cookies, with different characteristics and uses:
      1. Technical cookies: these are cookies that are indispensable for the proper functioning of the website and are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service;
      2. Analytical cookies: these are cookies used to collect and analyze traffic and usage of the Website in an anonymous way. Although these cookies do not identify you, they allow us, for example, to detect whether you return to the Website at different times. They also allow us to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. These cookies can be deactivated without any loss of functionality.
      3. Profiling cookies: these are persistent cookies used to identify (anonymously and non-anonymously) your preferences and improve your browsing experience.
      4. Third-party cookies (analytical and/or profiling): these are cookies generated by organizations that are not part of the Website, but which are integrated into parts of the Website page. Examples include Google widgets (e.g. Google Maps) or social plug-ins (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
    2. The handling of information collected by “third parties” is governed by their respective privacy policies, which you should refer to.

* We adopt tools to reduce the identifying power of the cookies (IP anonymisation: illustration of technical operation at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=it) and have configured the service to prevent the association of the remaining portion of the IP address with other data held by Google (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3379636?hl=it); we have also implemented controls for data retention, setting the period to 50 months (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=it).
  1. Management
    1. The main Cookie management tool we recommend to the User is the Cookie banner set up by us and managed via the [ ] plugin, developed by design to facilitate the compliance of Cookie management with the GDPR and other privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Through this tool you will be able to:
      • accept the full installation of all cookies;
      • or reject it in its entirety;
      • or manage your preferences manually by grouping cookies by the purpose of use.
    2. The User can also decide whether or not to accept cookies by using the settings of his browser. In this case, the setting can be defined specifically for different Websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for different types of cookies:
    3. The usability of the content is also possible by completely disabling cookies, with the exception of “session” cookies if the user wishes to authenticate himself, and disabling the “third party” cookies does not affect the navigability of the Website in any way.
    4. If you do not install the Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Website, you will not be able to proceed to browse the Website. These cookies alone are by default ready for installation on the device from which you are browsing and do not require, by law, the express consent of the User for installation.
    5. We would also like to point out the possibility of using special tools to manage privacy regarding cookies for advertising purposes, such as Your Online Choices (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/), limited to advertising networks that adhere to the initiative. For further information, http://www.edaa.eu.
    6. The Company cannot guarantee the perfect functioning of the above-mentioned tools, but undertakes to evaluate from time to time the most suitable tools for the purposes of compliance with the GDPR and the applicable privacy and data protection regulations, possibly even replacing the tools currently in use with others that are more suitable or better functioning.
